


JaxTHRIVE Leadership 2025-2026
Meet our leaders! The first JaxTHRIVE leadership council was formed in the spring of 2020 to bring together a group of talented and diverse teens who work together to lead our mission of JaxTHRIVE welcoming and tutoring refugee children.

Maya Jones
Co-President and Co-Founder
Episcopal School of Jacksonville
Jacksonville, FL
Maya Jones, an Eagle Scout, and a senior at the Episcopal School of Jacksonville is honored to be the co-president of JaxTHRIVE. She is also the co-founder of the JaxTHRIVE chapter at her school. In addition to tutoring and leading Super Saturdays, she launched EmpowHer, a female empowerment program which focuses specifically on the needs of female refugee students. She co-authored a children’s book, Sarina of Kandahar, an inspiring story of an Afghan refugee woman, and presented The Impact of JaxTHRIVE at the Sunshine State and International TESOL conferences. She is a teen leader at Spread Cream Cheese Not Hate®, a community initiative to combat all forms of hate.
At school, Maya is Senior Class President in Student Government. She is captain of the varsity sailing team, a campus tour guide, member of the Honor Council, and an Eagle Ambassador. She is the recipient of the 2025 Rotary Youth Leadership Award. A language enthusiast and globally-minded citizen, she spent this summer in rural Spain to immerse in the language and culture. She loves dance and has been dancing ballet, jazz and contemporary since age 4 years.
Austin Koziarski is a junior at Ponte Vedra High School. He is honored to be a co-president of JaxTHRIVE and works hard to make the Super Saturday experience great for refugee youth and volunteers. He helped to update the website, design/order t-shirts, improve welcome procedures with signs/processes for volunteers and organize a financial literacy workshop for refugee families. He has served on his school’s student council every year since fifth grade, is a graduate of Youth Leadership Jacksonville and enjoyed participating in the Young Leaders Conference at UF in ‘24 and ‘25. Austin grew in his knowledge and interest in the field of finance by leading Wharton High School Investment Competition teams in ‘24 and '25 and participating in an Economics for Leaders program at Yale University in June ‘25. He enjoyed serving others on summer mission trips to Panama with Manos de Fe in ‘24 and ‘25. Austin enjoys golf, football, the beach and cheering for the PV Sharks, Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Jacksonville Jaguars.

Greer Davis
Co-President
The Bolles School

Greer Davis is a Junior at the Bolles School and will serve as one of the Co-Presidents for JaxTHRIVE. She is also currently the Co-President for the Bolles JaxTHRIVE chapter and a member on Bolles Club Council. She is a member of her school’s varsity lacrosse team along with mock trial. Greer is now a graduated member of Youth Leaderships 2024-2025 class; in her free time, she enjoys hanging out with friends, coaching tennis, and running.
