Last week, JaxTHRIVE partnered with Lutheran Social Services to take our Female Empowerment Program teens on a field trip to see the Barbie movie at the Regency Theatre. This was a really fun day for the girls to get to meet each other and bond at the movies!
We believe that movies have a unique ability to transcend language barriers, evoke emotions, and create connections that reach deep into the heart. The Barbie movie, with its themes of empowerment, friendship, and self-discovery, becomes a powerful tool for JaxTHRIVE to engage and uplift the spirits of our female teen refugees. By taking them to watch this iconic film, our goal was to create a shared experience that helps these girls feel seen, understood, and valued.
