Hi, I’m Hope Freedman, a Senior at Ponte Vedra High School in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. As Co-President of JaxTHRIVE, I am passionate about helping those who have come to this country under extraordinary circumstances. As an 8th grader, I founded the first-Generation WOW club for middle schools in the country and now proudly serve as President of my high school’s WOW club; a movement that exposes girls to the positive and the possible by creating opportunities that connect the leaders of tomorrow with the leaders of today. Upon being awarded a WOW United grant in 2020, I founded the WOW Period Project with the goal of providing menstrual hygiene products to girls in need. After successfully providing 10 schools with over 30,000 period supplies for school restrooms in my district, they have agreed to roll out the program to all schools with 6th-12th graders in 2022. In addition, I enjoy participating in my school’s Model UN Club and Cross-Country team. I love hanging out with friends, playing Sudoku and Wordle, chilling to Adele, and hosting Marvel movie watch parties.
