Kim’s Open Door
Virtual Saturday Program
JaxTHRIVE has partnered with Kim’s Open Door for the past 4 years on a Saturday tutoring program for local refugee youth. Due to COVID-19 this fall and spring, all tutoring will be conducted online via Zoom.
We tutor elementary school students who all speak English as second language. Most are native Spanish speakers. Virtual Tutoring takes place the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month, 10:30am – 11:30am and 11:30am-12:30pm.
Tutors can sign up for one or both tutoring shifts depending on their availability and tutors do not have to commit to the entire semester.
